HOW INVOLVED ARE THE PARENTS EXPECTED TO BE;
The parents are expected to be as involved as possible, showing up to PTA meetings and such.
WHAT ARE THE TEACHERS ROLE IN THE SCHOOL;
They are expected to help guide the students in lessons and help them with problems.
HOW INVOLVED IN THE RUNNING OF THE SCHOOL SHOULD THE STUDENTS BE;
The students are a large part in the running of the school. They participate in student government that has a signifigant pull on the way teachers decide on how the school should be run.
WHAT DOES THE TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS;
Students have five class periods a day math, english, science, second lauange, and an extra carricular class such as shop, graphic design, or culinary. the school goes from 8:30 to 3:00. the students do not have an enrichment class because there is a limited amount of homework given to the students.
WHAT DOES THE BUILDING LOOK LIKE;
It is an older style looking factory, bland and blocky on the out side, but on the inside it is full of state of the art technology, has vibrant colors, and home-like feel to it. every classroom has computers and desk tailored to fit the computers.
WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF A LESSON THAT YOU MIGHT SEE AT YOUR SCHOOL;
Say it was math, the students would be given the leson and tought what they needed to know about it, then they would get back into their groups and work on the homework, then at the end of the day they would have a quiz that their group would work on and turn it in and share the grade.
HOW DO YOU ADRESS ALL OF THE ABOVE ISSUES SO THAT GRADUATING STUDENTS ARE READY TO BE PROBLEM SOLVERS AND LEADERS;
We have a lot of projects that the students in their groups will have to take turns being leaders, they also have to stand up infront of the class and do their presentations so that they have good public speaking skills.
HOW DOWS THE SCHOOL HANDLE "BEHAVIOR ISSUES";
The way our school handles behavior issues is we will put the student on sort of a probation where they would be unable to participate in extra-curicular activities, and would have to sit in the library until the situation is resolved.
WHAT SUBJECTS WILL BE TOUGHT AT OUR SCHOOL;
There will be Communication arts, Aguriculture, Enginnering, amd Culinary. Each subject is very inprotant to our school and students spend more time in these classrooms than any other classroom.
